If a Human Blitzer tackles a sure hands player, whose ability takes precedence? Does sure hands retain the ball or should human blitzer take the ball?

What is the conflict? If you are tackled, you lose the ball. If you have Sure hands, you are still tackled, you just don't lose the ball.

Blitzer is just looking to see you tackled and then they get the passing ability. Passing ability let's you move the ball and something like Sure Hands can't stop it. But at this point, the ability has already been used.

So it would go like this. HB attempts the tackle and rolls successfully. So the SH player is downed but keeps the ball. Now that he is downed, his SH ability is void. Because he was tackled, HB now gains passing and chooses to move the ball from the downed player and moves it to midfield.

If HB had tackled a player that did not have SH, then his tackle would force the player to drop the ball and move it to midfield. And now that HB has Passing, he moves it from midfield to himself. That is the difference SH makes in this scenario.

Never too late to add to a thread, eh?

Am brand new to this game and had the same question till I realized I was misinterpreting the icon in the text. So to all new players that did a search for "Human Blitzer" and "Sure Hands" to end-up here... the football icon on the Human Blitzer card is the Passing Icon.

As Brian explains above, the player gains a Passing icon, not the football!
