Hi gents,

How do you resolve this situation :
French depot in Plymouth, no garrisons or troops at all in the zone/depot/city.

Reinf rule will allow Brit player to put garrison factors and new corps in Plymouth. If a new corps is placed, the french supply chain will be interrupted and thus French player will not be able to receive reinforcement trhu this depot. If a english garrison factor is placed in Plymouth, the port is also shutdown and thus the French supply chain is also interrupted.

When is the french depot destroyed/converted by the brit : at the brit land step ? What if he only has city garrison (no corps) : the brit player cannot destroy/convert the depot, isn't it ?

I agree that the French depot is rendered useless as part of a supply chain if the British either places a garrison factor in Plymouth or places a corps in the area. The British garrison factor could not destroy the French depot, but a British corps could destroy or convert the French depot during the British land phase, if the French don't drive the British corps out of the Plymouth area first...

We'd play it as Warren described - depots are only converted/destroyed during the land movement phase, so any British reinforcement would interrupt the chain, but couldn't do anything to the depot until that phase. But since a corps could duck into the city when attacked if desired, it would still interrupt the supply chain until the siege was successful.
