Have played the co-op game a couple of times and am enjoying it. Question:
I'm playing that if you roll Attack on the Mystery Co-Op chart that
you just roll the minion chart and work out the result even if an event, correct?
Minion is placed at a random location only attacking if a hero or heroes are there.
Yes, that's how I would do it. If you look up their revised FAQ at the Flying Frog Wiki, it shows how a couple of the Mystery cards have been rewritten to account for Events on the Minion Chart, instead of only minions. I'm sure this applies to the co-op chart also.

Playing then that whenever you roll a minion listed on the minion chart, you place that minion at a random location. Also playing that if you are attacked due to lingering, you again roll the minion chart and work out the result and if rolling a minion, again place that minion at a random location. Correct?
I disagree on this. Any actual minion that appears should be placed in the space with the hero who was lingering. You have to fight immediately, before taking any other actions. However, as with the co-op chart, if you roll an event you would apply that instead of a minion.
I thought this was in the rules somewhere.... I just checked though, and couldn't find it. To me, it seems to fit the theme better to have the hero be directly attacked by the minions in this case.

Finally as to the Town Elders, my wife and I were never keeping any information as to the secrets of the town elders from each other. If something reads "Do Not Reveal" we were thinking that this is important in that it is the only time you are not required to immediately reveal an evil elder and have them immediately join the enemy.
Correct?
Yeah, that's how I play. You are all on the same team, so there is no point keeping secrets. You can show anything to your teammates, including events, etc.
"Reveal" a secret just means that the rules kick in. Like you say, that's when an evil elder would join the villain. Change the word "reveal" to "apply" and it makes more sense. If you want to stick with a thematic interpretation, you could also think of it as "revealing" the secret to the town of Shadowbrook.
