I had never heard of or played Bang! until I seen it on iOS. Love it! I was however disappointed to see the card game didn't have a similar look to it when I went to buy it. Still got it with a couple expansions and is still an awesome game. I just wish a newer edition would have this art though.
The iOS version is fine! Great fun. And the artwork on the cards themself is true to the original card game. No worries, really...
No iOS version is not fine. The theme of this game is quasi-serious. Bill Noface on upper image is a joke and this lady in top-left also. The whole style of iOS ver. is too cartoony. If dVG will change the style of Bang! it will be the end for me.
Agree completely, no need to change the design. For a videogame the cartoony style is ok, but not for a card game. I'll think I'm playing a Disney card game.
and what about new expansions? also to make them with ios artwork? impossible, that would piss off all the older players who couldnt play that expansion with their older(actually western looking instead of this cartoon look...) editions and expansions, no way they could do this without always printing and seling two versions of base game and all the expansions
I for one would buy a one off limited edition iOS printed version of the game. Trying to always have both would be a problem but a one time print run with iOS styling would be cool.
