Two warriors and a thief approached TheColorOutOfSpaces lair. They had heard all sorts of strange tales about the place - that the walls were in shades that did not match, that the passages seemed to close in upon you, and that inside was a maze of twisty little passages, all alike.
At the entrance, they spied a golden ring lying upon the ground, inscribed with fiery letters. "Wait," said the thief, as the lead fighter reached for it. "It could be trapped." The thief reached forward and took it - but as he read the inscription... "Huh. I wonder why it says 'Explosive Rune-'"
BOOM! The thief and the rear warrior were scorched by the blast!
It was as the front warrior was looking at his companions in alarm that a soft incantation came to his ears. Spinning around, he saw a witch before him. "Die, foul enchantress!" he cried.
"I'm not an enchantress. I'm an invoker," she replied.
"Oh. Um, what's the difference?" he asked.
"This."
BOOM!
The remaining thief and warrior looked at a pile of ashes as the witch slipped away into the darkness, and decided to rest for a minute before continuing into the dungeon.

The thief and warrior, having regained their courage, again braved the door into the dungeon. The warrior charged forward and saw within a goblin, cleaning under his filthy claws with an even filthier dagger.
"Die, foul beast!" he cried.
The goblin looked up. "I'm not a beast."
The warrior stopped, mid-charge. "I'm sorry?"
"I'm not a beast. I'm a humanoid."
"Very well, you monstrous humanoid, suffer my wra-"
"I'm not a monstrous humanoid, I'm just a regular humanoid. And that particular categorization is not even currently valid."
The warrior paused again, confused. "What? What is the difference?"
The goblin sighed. "Didn't they teach you anything about botany in adventuring school?"
"Um, no, not really. Mostly it was about how to kick down doors, and yell 'Die, foul beast!'" I'm really good at that part! Die, foul bea-"
"Yes, yes. I've heard you before. Look, here is a simple rule. Me, I'm a humanoid. That, behind you? That's a beast."
"What? What's behin-"
The goblin sighed as he pulled his dagger out of the fighter. "They really do make them dumber these days." Then he looked up as the thief walked in. "Ah. I thought they sent two. Are you a warrior?"
"Ah... no..."
"Good. This works better then."
"Wha-"
The goblin walked over, and retrieved his thrown dagger. "Poor reflexes too. I say, what are adventurers coming to these days?"

Aw, I was looking forward to reading PPP's flavor text!
I see that poor Yellow Bloodsuckers is stuck there, trap-less and monster-less, watching that last thief wander through their dungeon, cleaning it up...
And I&I's dastardly wizard, with his dying breath, chased away the vampire and helped capture another tunnel. What an evil choice - you could have killed the wizard, but his dying breath would call out for a paladin to come rampaging through the dungeon!

Well versed in the arts of magic and plundering dungeons, the two portly priests and the wily wizard journeyed into the darkened hallways of the Petulant Periwinkle Prince. Eager to loot as much as they could, they found their enthusiasm dampened by the dimly lit entrance, mottled shades of periwinkle shining through. The junior priest, leading the party, spied a nearby happy-go-lucky imp and decided that it was time for said imp to do some tithing with a good old-fashioned shake-down. The imp, merrily grinning, pulled out a blowgun as the priest advanced on him, and in self-defense shot the sacrosanct adventurer in the leg. The priest howled in pain but quickly recovered.
The party decided to teach this chipper imp that adventurers are not to be crossed, so the sorcerer conjured a giant hand and began threatening the poor imp with it, cruelly playing with the innocent little creature. The conjurer was so engrossed in his terrorism that he didn’t notice the imp’s friend sneak up, a purple-hued vampire named Victor. Victor the vampire decided to feast upon the sadistic spellcaster with great gusto, protecting his impish friend. While Victor normally prefers to sample from the various dinner options available, the smell coming off of those priests turned his stomach strongly and so he opted to focus on the cruel conjurer. The wizard, feeling his life being drained, swung his giant conjured hand back toward the vampire, who disappeared in a puff of dark smoke. The fist continued through the smoke cloud and slammed into its owner, squishing the sorcerer for good.
The imp used the distraction to make himself scarce, while the two priests shrugged off the loss of their obnoxious comrade, patched up the wound on the junior priest, and continued deeper into the dungeon. It would seem, though, that the combination of imp saliva and healing potion makes a wicked strong acid, and the junior priest began writhing in agony as they entered the nearby room.

The foul-smelling priests wandered into the nearby Chicken Coop, marveling at the purplish hue of the shed in the middle of the room. A witch was busy in the ritual preparation of chicken soup (with a bit of Santeria thrown in for good measure), and ignored the incoming louts. The senior priest, seeing the weakened state of his comrade and sensing the power of the witch, decided to push his flailing apprentice ahead of him as a meat shield.
What the feckless friar had not counted on, however, was that the muck on the floor of the room had a mind of its own, and an acidic nature to boot. Speaking of boots, the priests soon were lacking their soles as the slime on the floor ate through clear to the bone. The junior priest could endure no more, and collapsed. The senior priest realized his predicament just as the witch finished her preparations. She turned and eyed the injured cleric with an all-consuming grin, and he began to repent for all of the sins he’d committed whilst adventuring.
As for what fate befell him… the witch never did divulge, although he was never seen or heard from again.
