The rulebook for the Anniversary Edition of Puerto Rico has a change to the way Hacienda and Construction Hut work together - namely, that they actually can now. Please discuss this on the Anniversary Edition rules forum to keep it all in one place. - ZM

I was not aware they would not work together. I thought you could take a random plantation, followed by a quarry.

Are you thinking of Hacienda and Forest House? They have rules to work together in the Treasure Chest expansion, but I still think they should have been restricted.

Yes, but that's working in parallel, not working together. Two quarries are now possible with the new wording.

No.

I ask again, please visit the linked topic in the first post in order to keep the discussion in one place. - ZM

Oops, didn't see the link. And... why was this thread started then?

Fair question: since it's ostensibly a change to the base rules of the game, I thought (after I'd already posted there) that I really ought to have a link to it from the standard edition's forum. What I should have done was posted it here and link that forum to this one, in retrospect. - ZM
