I would say the skeletons only exists to make the Taoists Day much harder sorry more interessting.
The Wu Feng looses all difficulty if the skeletons would not count. In the basic game there are no skeletons and so they wrotes not "free" but "occupied by a ghost". If they wrote "free" than someone has asked "What is if there is placed a Buddha?"
2nd Question i see is for the scenario "Cursed Children" If the opposite is a cursed children so what to do?
