I think that PR is easily available in stores. I would suggest purchasing it and then looking at the back side of the cards.

What cards?

No cards in Puerto Rico therefore no backside. Perhaps you mean San Juan? And it's also readily available in game stores or on the internet.

It is a very, very bright shade of purple.

Dear sir,
Since you have failed to notice the sarcasm, we as a community are not interested in assisting you in ripping off the game designers and publishers of this game.
Go buy the game if you want to know these things

It's bright neon green. I would go with the ugliest shade possible. That way people will be able to tell you ripped off the designer.

Unfortunately, I do not have the possibility to buy this game.
Thank you all.

I like to exchange ideas but I have no interest in a pissing contest.
If you want me to review your game, just GM me and send me a copy. Abstracts, wargames and euros equally welcome. No party or dexterity games please.

I don't have the ability to buy a gold bar...doesn't mean I'm going to steal it.

Well, if it's a matter of not having the money, a print-and-play version (even done on the cheap) is probably going to come close to the price of the game.

Download the two print and play new art versions here on bgg. Then grab the rules from rio grande's site. make some counters out of whatever u want and bam, got a game.

PR is 28.99 + shipping. there is NO way a (an?) "on the cheap" version will cost that.

It sure will if you want a copy that's going to withstand repeated play.

No I'm pretty sure a five dollar roll of clear contact paper, some printed out chits, and a .99 cut up wooden dowel is still cheaper and holds up just fine.

If someone is too cheap to buy a $30 game, I kind of doubt they have a printer. I guess you could go to Kinko's, but it's certainly not free. Maybe you could steal supplies and printer time from work, but if you have a job, then the hours you'd put into making the game are probably worth more than $30 on their own.

Oh I dunno, printers are pretty common place now. Maybe they just have a rule about NEVER BUYing a game they can make, even if they have plenty of income. Besides, we have gone off topic here guys.

Perhaps not. Did you see the OP's flag before the initial post was deleted? He was from a country known for counterfeiting established properties.
BTW, are you figuring your time's value into the five-dollar-contact-paper-and-99-cent-dowel-rod version? I still say it's a better deal to buy the finished product. But if you like making games, more power to you.

Maybe this same hypothetical guy has
More free time on his hands then all the gods of all the creations. And likes to make new art skins for games as well. Just a thought.

Nah, I'm gonna go with the ripoff scenario.
