G'day guys,

I just wanted to double check something before I go ahead with anything.

The rulebook states to replace the original and Novogrod tokens with the ones in Daedalus. Does this mean?

* I should chuck all the crate tokens from base and Novogrod and replace with Daedalus, keeping any from hero/trooper packs

OR

* Disregard this rule as its a misprint and just mix them all in?

It just seems weird to replace them all as I didn't think there was anything wrong with them. Is it a balancing thing?

Any help on this would be great.
Cheers,
Ben.

There were slight differences in the token printing between the core game and novgorod.

You will frind threads about this.

I was too quick and mixed them all, some people say it is not that big of a deal, unless people start to pinpoint the differences to try to guess what the token is.

I heard miah999 say he mixed them all, and he uses some proxy, 3d custom crates in place of the tokens on the map, and will only pull a real token from a bag, when needed.

Thanks. I suppose I was interested whether or not there was a difference in the distribution of different items.

I saw Miah999's crates a while ago and really liked the idea of that. Just add a nice opaque bag and its a nice way to do it.

Thanks for your help.

It does alter the item ditribution a good bit, I did all the math you can see more here: http://miah000.blogspot.com/2011/12/we-now-resume-our-regula...

It's a little confusing but I hope it helps.

Also if you need some help telling the different crates apart check here: http://miah000.blogspot.com/2011/12/crate-conundrum.html

It's true I use all the crates at once, using wood proxies, I like the how the final distribution works out, but that's just me maybe.

Well hope all that helps.

Thanks Miah, those figures were actually really helpful - I appreciate it.

I might just use the Daedalus tokens, but will add in the tokens found in the character expansions as they aren't mentioned in the rulebook (in regards to using or removing).

Cheers,
Ben.

I think that's a good plan.

If you read the second article you saw that most of the expansion tokens are nearly identical to the Daedalus, so you'll be fine using them together.

And thanks for the tip!
