So I see a copy up for auction in a geeklist. And after I bid it up to $20, I find out I have a copy on the way for my birthday already. And I also get a little bit of financial bad news.
It's not very bad news -- certainly not bad enough to justify asking to withdraw my bids. So it seems the only honorable way out is to let other fans know so they can outbid me (and, with luck, still get a bit of a bargain.
