"The power of the creature is applied to the isle where it is until the beginning of your next turn."
As an example, I play the Chiron on this turn. The next turn starts. Does the Chiron lose its effectiveness the moment this new cycle starts (when the mythological creatures track is updated), or does this occur when I make my offerings or take my "Actions" turn?
Secondly, are the round Creature discs used to indicate where the Creature was previously, but has no power moving forward? Meaning, would I play the Polyhemus one turn, place the figure on the board, then at the start of the next turn, replace the figure with the respective Creature disc?

The statement below is false.
The statement above is correct.

It loses effectiveness the moment you start taking your actions. So if you're early one round, place Chiron, and then you're late in the next round, it'll last nearly two rounds.

The discs have no function in the game. IIRC it was something about early adopters getting sent the minis later and thus having to use the disks at first.

I see. So in essence, a creature's power lasts until that player takes his Action turn during the next cycle.
Thanks for the input!

Right. And one small rule we missed on several plays is that the creatures card stays infront of you while he is active for that duration. This means the Chimera can not co-opt it since it won't be in the discard pile while it is on your island (or the kraken is under your control).
I think this rule was mentioned in the small creature manual rather than the rules proper, which is why I missed it.

Hello! I want to ask you a question about the Kraken. After you use it, and it loses its effectiveness, it stays on the game table until someone else takes it under his control, or it is withdrawn from the game table?

It stays on the board in the final spot until someone else summons it. This is fully expained in the Creature sheet:
Quote: Place the Kraken figurine on the sea space of your choice. If fleets are there, they are destroyed (the tokens are returned to their owner). For each extra GP spent to purchase the Kraken, the player can move the Kraken one space. Every Fleet encountered is destroyed. At the end of its movement, the Kraken remains in place and the sea space thus occupied is forbidden to all Fleets until the Kraken moves again. The next player to use the Kraken can make it dive and reappear on any sea space.
