Hi there.
Always looking for new ways to tweak this fantastic game.
We're going to try out a variant where we prepare a (smaller than normal) dungeon for each player.

When a player reveals his/her thunderstone, the game ends and that player takes a bonus 5 victory points when the points are tallied.

We're already using the Epic variant, with a face-down dungeon deck. We'll make sure that equal numbers of guardian, traps and treasures go into each deck. The size of the dungeon can be upsized or downsized depending on how long you want the game to go for, and the more experienced players might get a few extra monsters as a handicap.

We're hoping that a race to the thunderstone will make for a better climax to the game.

I'm sure it'll evolve from here as we playtest, so I'll post back when we have this variant in proper shape. In the meantime, any suggestions along these lines would be appreciated!

Cheers, Marlz.
