West Saint Paul
At the start of the training session, each new pilot was given a choice of light mech's to pilot. After selecting their mechs, all mechs entered the field and began a general free-for All fight. Two separate fights began, a Mongoose(25 ton) versus a wasp(20ton) versus a stinger(20ton) And A Commando(25ton) versus a wasp(20ton) and stinger(20ton).
The Commando positioned himself where he thought most secure, and quickly realized that the wasp and stinger were much more mobile and made his security nonexistent. To retaliate, he began moving his fight closer to the other three mechs farther down-field.
The Mongoose immediately closed ground with his wasp opponent and scoured him with lasers. The wasp returned fire while the stinger moved into a position to enter the fray.
As the third round had passed, The mongoose successfully downed the first mech of the game and the wasp pilot was forced to watch. The commando continued to draw his wasp and stinger opponents closer to the mongoose/wasp/stinger.
The Chief Training Officer(Me) changed the rules and made it a 3 on 3(now 2 since the wasp was downed already)
The stinger and mongoose chose the opposite side of a lake as the battleground, while the highly damaged commando brought his two enemies turned compatriots to bear on them.
The mongoose/stinger combo focused on downing the commando and succeeded at about the same time as the Commando/stinger/wasp combo shredded almost all armor and one leg from their opposing stinger.
The one legged stinger was able to return fire one more time as the now torn stinger/wasp combo finished off his other leg and attempted to keep the mongoose at bay.
The mongoose took off both legs of the rival remaining wasp while the stinger/wasp tore through his armor.
The final rounds were mildly amusing as all mechs were reduced to almost stationary units feebly attempting to down their opponents.
When the dust cleared only one stinger was still standing, and his mobility was minimal. The Chief Training officer informed the trainees of their new found experience and everyone headed home.
