Following question about the Barricade scenario. Building 4D5 is a "redoubt" and 3 out of 4 characters have to survive until turn 15. Is there an obligation for the survivors to stay in/go to building 4D5 and stop the zombie onslaught in this building? Or can they roam the board freely?

They are free to roam. The redoubt offers some defensive advantages, but there is not a requirement for survivors to go there, or stay there.

BTW, check the FAQ in the files section. The rules for zombie movement into and out of mutli-hex terrain are rationalized and explained.
