I'm not superstitious and I never gave a second thought to the whole Mayan calander 2012 thing, but dice in a Carcassonne expansion??? It just might be the end of the world!
Went and read the decription because of this (not fond of the concept of the catapult, and don't care for the bazaar auctioning thing in Bridges - roughly put, stuff that detracts from the basic tile-placing mechanic).
Got to say that I think that's a fairly clever way to work a die into the game - you pick which direction you want to place a meeple, the die determines which of three possible targets you hit. Could have been much worse , and reminds me a little of the Tower (inasmuch as you need to consider lateral tiles, not just the one you are placing).

I can't imagine there being so much wood in those tiny boxes next to the 9 tiles
 I'm so excited

Since Crop Circles is already being released in a different set over here, perhaps a better idea is just to replace each Crop Circle tile with a blank tile like the ones in Cult, Siege, & Creativity. That way there are no duplicates for those of us that collect each expansion and the blank can be made into whatever you want.
(Of course, an even better idea which I'm sure can't happen this far along is to leave the Crop Circle tiles in these mini expansions, and instead of the 6 Crop Circle tiles, sell the 10 Festival tiles [10th Anniversary] with Tunnels and Plague)

This. Or even better yet, include two bonus tiles in each box. Five boxes have two Festival tiles each, and the final two have the School tiles. FTW! With all the Corn Circles releases coming out, we really don't need more of them. Everyone will have access to them now.

The individual Crop Circle tiles will be in the English-language version of the mini-expansions from Rio Grande Games.

Bah. Looks like we're getting duplicate Corn Circles, everyone! Well, I guess 12 Corn Circles just makes for a larger expansion in the end.
W. Eric, do you know if Corn Circles, Plague & Tunnels is going to have a new expansion watermark icon? I assume the Spielbox pentagon will not appear on the Tunnels and Plague tiles like the original versions did. I guess Corn Circles could keep the corn stalk. I just want to know because Cult, Siege & Creativity didn't include any watermark icons and that was Rio Grande's last compilation expansion.

This is the most genius idea yet! Too bad it won't be a reality (as noted above).

Are those Corn Circles different than the original six or are you just noting that this is another way to obtain them?

They are different tiles.

So will this be known as Crop Circles II. The river is no longer the only expanded expansion.

Hmm. Interesting point. Officially it's not known as that, but it kind of is. The only other examples I can think of are the bonus Inns in a couple of expansions, the extra River tiles in Games Quarterly, the Volcano in River II, and the bonus cult in Cult, Siege & Creativity. River II isn't the only expansion expansion, but the others were all unproclaimed. I feel this Corn Circles II deserves its own BGG page!

I really like the look of ferries.
At first I have to say: I´m glad for the new expansions of Carcassonne.
But honestly, I´m dissapointed with the tiles of goldmines. Why are these gold icons so big? Why aren´t there pictures of goldmines instead of icons? These big icons (shining gold pieces) just don´t look well and they definitely don´t fit into "landscape".
I also think The Aircraft exp. could be better in design. This is just arrow with wings? I don´t know..

Does somebody know when this is coming out in North America?

Well you are right in some way, but as there are tunnels and volcanos in Carcassonne already, the gold symbold is much easier to see and the players will not confuse them with any of the other symbols.

That's what I've been thinking as well. There've been symbols on tiles since Traders and builders.
The wheel of fortune has symbols as well as the princess tiles and the magic gates. The Kathars come to mind.
