I love this game and just got an iPad. I would love to have a good SH like game similar to Alien Assault on the PC. This game screams for a great knock off on the iPad.

I don't think it's the risk of a lawsuit that's the problem. It's pretty easy to make a game inspired by Space Hulk without actually treading on any toes. The real risk is that GW gets upset anyway and Apple responds to a take-down notice without giving the little guy a chance to defend themselves.

What do you think Alien Assault is based on?

...and that's why it is called alien assault.

They used to have permission from GW to make a space hulk game, but the rights were held by another company. They also said go ahead and then...and then something funky happened. permission was revoked and Teardwon was forced to go another route.

So you can either play the old teardpown spacehulk game (still available like anything ever released on the internet if you look hard enough) or the rethemed alien assault.

Ask teardown, they might be willing to port it to Ipad or Android.

I believe I read rumors about an upcoming iOS version of Space Infantry. I haven't played it but it seems comparable.

I like hunters HD but I view it as more of an X-Com game and is in no way a Space Hulk like game. I figured with Alien Assault being ok that someone could do an Alien Assault like game.
