Hello Peter,

I own Dungeon Twister 2: Prison and I'd say you're good to go if you play Castle Ravenloft with your kids. There aren't many cards in the game anyway and they don't get more gruesome than the box cover. (mostly they only have sketches of character in black and white)
Maybe the female character should buy herself some more clothes due to the cold winds in the dank dungeons ...

Thanks for the reply guys, and yes more clothes for our female adventuring heroes would be a good thing

Tempted to get the game, is the learning curve brutal? Tactical gaming with dungeon exploring themes sounds really engaging.

There's a tutorial that eases you into it, and you can play tutorial scenarios as actual games, so the learning curve isn't that bad.

Yes, definitely use the tutorial. It will ease new learners into the game. I find adults pick it up fairly quickly, but kids would definitely benefit from a step by step process as introduced in the rulebook.

I thought BGG was pretty politically correct.
