Soon it will make sense to get a bigger room.
We are of course aware of the demand to attend this event and other options and ideas are being reviewed. This event is most likely at a threshold. Crossing it inevitably will result in a change or changes that not everyone will like. (Two philosophies are that it is not possible to please everyone and that if it works, do not mess with it. (I will appreciate that anyone expecting more remembers that I was the person who stated these.)) Also, the event's prime objective is to promote boardgaming within the local community which is a part of what drives the desire to maintain a minimal admission fee. Change may not allow for the admission fee to stay where it is and more admission collected creates additional problems. In more than one way, expansion could have precipitate implications.

The new Source location opens on March 1 and I will be there to say Hello and to propose a monthly event similar to the marathons (albeit one day and obviously coordinated with the operating times of the store). I have no idea at this time the logistics of such an event since the size of the open gaming area is not known. Also these events will in no way be competitive with the marathons. My mission is the same as Jeff's. We're trying to promote boardgaming within the community and these events are in response to the marathons now filling up so quickly. Hopefully everyone gets a chance to play games and the cost won't be prohibitive.

Of course I will be playing as well. The game officially holds up to 8 characters. I imagine not all of you will be able to attend or decide to play in the end, however, at the last Arkham Nights event at FFG I did run "To the Barricades" which is up to 20 characters. I know a few tricks and we can tweak the game to any number of players.
No need to reply here. Either speak to me this weekend or just show up at 11am. If you haven't already expressed interest and still are interested, show up and we'll see if there are a few players that didn't show up.

Thanks David for bringing and help teaching Arkham Horror to a MBGM and Arkham newbie, and thanks to everyone who played the game as well. Fun times, and I'll definitely be back.
