I was playing a solo game today and had the fortune to get a killer combo of companions and heroes.

The Wizard was able to draw and recruit Ralevah. Her ability to do the Crow attack 2 squares away at -1 die roll only was enhanced by the Wizard's fireball. Together they have to roll 3 or better to take out all minions up to 2 locations away.

The Ranger quickly hired Elle the adventuring warrior. Elle allows a hero to gain +1 action next turn if the hero ends their current turn on a green location. Combined with the Ranger who gets +1 action when starting on a green location. He could get an amazing 7 actions if he plans out his turns.

***NOTE***The Ranger became a elf of legend after he and Elle stole the Wolfbane Blade from Gorgutt and slain Varkolak. He had 7 actions, killed all undead without a die roll and got to reroll all attacks.

These companion combos changed the game completely (although I still lost the game because of a minion overrun due to the midwar speed up).

Have you encountered any Hero/ Companion combo that's noteworth for how potent a duo they make?

Conversely, have their been any combos that were so...mismatched that they made you want to quite the game early?

Epilogue: I will be keeping these combos together to play the "Rise from the Ashes" scenario to regain Monarch City.
