I've recently picked up Defenders of the Realm here in the UK and I just wanted to take my hat off to Richard Launius and say a massive thanks for designing one of the best games I have ever played.
I own a hundred or so games (am in the process now of clearing the decks a little and selling a few) and I have to say that I haven't played a game in a long time that is as engaging, exciting or addictive as DOTR.
I love everything about it from the theme to the artwork (Larry Elmore rocks, I'm a child of the 80's and remember his stuff from D&D).
The mechanics of the game are fast paced and really keeps you on your toes, knowing that a wrong decision will have you swamped in minions and taint crystals in no time.
Keep up the great work and I look forward to the future expansions.
