"Okay, so I get 1 coin and 1 victory point for each gold card I have. No wait, its each gold card my left and right neighbor has. Or is it all three of us???"
This is kind of humorous. I taught the game to my niece and nephews last night (ages 9, 11, 13) and they all caught on by the middle of the 2nd Age. The first game took about 45 mins even with all the explanations. They immediately wanted to play again, and on the second game they had it down pat, no one needed the cheat sheet at all, and my 11-year-old nephew actually beat me.
