The Reichenbach Fall very good;
The Hound even better; and
Scandal* totally brilliant.

* Ah, abbreviating the title like that may well explain the Christine Keeler reminiscent imagery.

Though this Mycroft is clearly not as intelligent as Sherlock whereas in the books he is even more so (but not inclined to unnecessary exertion - well, that bit remains).

You see, the best thing I ever saw on TV was when Cinemax miraculously became un-scrambled one very early Saturday morning when I was 14...

Nothing has ever compared since then.

They're probably in one of those silly foreign countries over THERE:

If only they would have allowed foreigners to watch the show on BBC.com when it was available

It doesn't start airing until February 2nd, here, in Canada.
I'm pumped, though; I can't wait. Series One was brilliant.

Absolutely sublime.

Anyone agree?

I thought they dragged the ending on for too long.

I have so many questions in regards to this statement but I'll start with only two.

1) How long did you stare at the screen praying the "film" would miraculously un-scramble?

2) When, after all the praying, it did un-scramble, did you feel like you did it with your mind?

LOL. What I wouldn't give to be a teenager in the 90's again.

You are missing out. I feel that over the last 10 years TV is pushing the boundaries and putting out content far and beyond anything that motion picture studios are coming close to.

QFT. Deadwood, The Wire, Sopranos, Homeland, possibly even Lost and Rome: each better and more satisfying than any movie that I can remember seeing since 2002 from comparable genres.

If you seek a Golden Age, look around you.

I love these series - as my microbadges can attest! Bought the second series from the UK as soon as it was available.

Edit: Stephen Moffat (and Gatiss of course) are wonderful writers (Sherlock, Doctor Who and Coupling particularly)

*agrees*

(tho the word "ever" is a tad too strong I think)

But not many shows (not speaking of films) left me with such an impact as the end of season 2. And the tiny tiny things one recalls from the books, which are included in the modern story are making me smile throughout the whole show.

Oh and the quotes alone!

Holmes: Phone Lestrade. Tell him there's an escaped rabbit.
Watson: Are you serious?
Holmes: It's this or Cluedo.
Watson: Ah, no. We are never playing that again.
Holmes: Why?
Watson: Because it's not actually possible for the victim to have done it, Sherlock.

Doyle wrote over 50 stories - this lets me hope that they will do more than just 3 seasons.

And no other show made me want to play the title music on piano.
It helps bridging the wait time.
*off to piano*

Have you seen Moffat's "Jekyll"? Astonishing.

Jekyll and Sherlock are both outstanding. The Brits are giving us some FANTASTIC television as of late.

Not to take away from some of the shows were getting here in the states. As Morgan and Conrad said, TV has never been better than it has been of late.

I haven't - didn't even know it existed! Now I have ordered it. Thanks - looks great!
