Hi everybody,
There is a rule concerning the royal favor and the restriction over their assignment, known as the 'phase barrier'.
I wonder if this barrier limits you from choosing twice the VP line during you turn, even if one of the favours comes from the castle and the other from the special building.
Or the ban goes only for two favours comming from the same source (castle)
I hope i made my self clear!

The rule restricts you from choosing the same favor line during each phase, of which there are several during your turn.
The phases in which you can earn a favor are the following:
1. Activating Special Buildings (The ones before the bridge)
2. Activation of Buildings (Ones after the bridge)
3. Building of the Castle
4. End of the turn (if scoring occurs)
You may not take two favors in the same line during each of those phases. However, like in your example, you may take two favors in the VP line if the first is earned during Special Buildings (2) and the other during the Castle (4).
Additionally, the restriction does not necessarily come from the same source, either. For instance, You could use two workers to build two buildings that give you a favor during the Building Activation phase (3). While these don't come from the same "source," per se, they occur in the same phase and the restriction applies.

I think I know what you're asking, and yes, it's about the type.
A specific example is to get a favor by jousting, and then a favor by building in the castle. Because they happen in different phases - are different types of favor - then I can choose to have both favors on the same line. So I could build a wood building when I joust, and then a stone building in the castle, during the same turn.
An example of when you can't collect the same favor is during castle scoring phases; you might get multiple favors, but only get to spend them on different kinds of favor. So I could collect coin and build a building, but not two buildings.
And: What Biohazard said about favors from special buildings is also correct.
