My daughter and I played our first game of Thunderstone fresh out of the box today. I'll let her tell the tale:

ok. thanks dad.
i played my first game of thunderstone today and i think it is a awesome game. learning the rules of the game is not to hard just make sure you read carefully!it took about 10 minutes to set up and about 10 to take down.i think it is cool that you get to practically build your own deck in the game!you get to fight monsters and buy things in town. this is a card game so there is no board. when i played my dad i won the game. he had a total of 41 victory points and i had a total of 46 points. you get more victory points by beating bigger or tougher monsters. you also get experience points by beating monsters. you use experience points to upgrade people in your hand. at the beginning of your turn you have a choice to go to town or the dungeons. it took about 1 hour to play so it doesn't take too long. i think that the game itself is a great game to play. i highly recommend this game. i really enjoyed it. more about the game is that each person in your deck has a strength number. that means that person can hold a weapon of that weight or lower. in the monster deck there is a thunderstone and when it slides up to first position the game ends. my strategy was to get a little of everything. i think if i were to rate this game i would give it five stars out of five stars. it is a great game to play any time . i loved the game so i hope that you will too. when you play this game. the rules are easy to follow and i got the hang of the game right when i started! also some of the monsters you fight help you when you fight because monsters you beat go into your deck. i love watching that the more i bought things how tall my deck grew! most of all this game is now one of my favorites along with Magic and Talisman.
THANKS!

Great Review!

Expansions will enhance your experience and then there's the upcoming Thunderstone Advanced... I would be interested to read your review of that when the time comes...

Well done!
