If you're looking for a half-step up from Ticket to Ride, you can try Ticket to Ride: Europe. It adds a few more rules, but I prefer it. If you're looking for a full step up, I highly recommend Railways of the World, it's one of my favorite games.

Hi Josh,
I appreciate your review as this is an under-appreciated game (note: check out the 99 cent app!).
Could you explain what you meant by your Nazi reference? Just not quite sure I get that (not the "Nazi's used trains..." part, just the context; what was that train set you saw all about?). Thanks and happy gaming.
Btw, I have heard the new route cards add a lot once you get used to the set that comes in the box.
Edit: for clarity.

I would highly recommend the 1910 expansion. More tickets really increases the replayability, and keeps it fresh. We play this game as a family all the time- everyone seems to really love it.
