In TTR:USA or TTR:Europe, when totaling ticket points or number of completed tickets (globetrotter bonus), uncompleted tickets are deducted from the count and point total. The rules for Team Asia don't seem to address this. If uncompleted tickets are not deducted, then there would be no reason for discarding unwanted or chancy tickets.
The rules do say that the globetrotter bonus goes to the team with the most completed tickets, implying that uncompleted tickets are ignored. However, for the total ticket points, we have been playing that the points for uncompleted tickets are deducted. The rules are silent on this point.

When calculating Globetrotter bonus, you give the bonus to the player(s) with the most completed tickets. You are not penlized for uncompleted tickets, beyond the usual loss of points.
e.g. If I have 6 completed tickets and you have 7 completed tickets with 2 uncompleted, you would score the Globetrotter bonus.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and as with all the TTR map expansions, all regular rules apply except for those that are changed by the rules in the expansion map. So all point scoring rules stay the same. Points are lost for uncompleted tickets.

Thanks for the info willy. Sounds like we played it correctly then.
I do like the Team Asia game. There are sometimes six of us, so often TTR isn't an option. Now it is!

The rules say that the rules for regular Ticket to Ride all apply except for the changes given in the Ticket to Ride Map Collection: Volume 1 - Team Asia & Legendary Asia rules.
So I would assume that tickets you don't complete do subtract from your score (since that's how the rules are written in the regular game.)

Yup! (But the number of uncompleted tickets are NOT deducted for the calculation of the Globetrotter Bonus).
