Ok, I understand that you don't want to have conditions with a "memorize" effect. For me it's also ok if the condition (someone in the brig/ you have a title) has to be archived at the point Galactica hits the 6. I would only favour if the flaws would be more or less hard to fulfill for all characters. It's pretty easy to hold on to your Presidency if you don't do too much wrong, while it's pretty impossible to get a title for some character low in the chain of command.

To an extent, the CL Agendas had this; Mutual Annihilation requires you to have played a Super Crisis, Show Their True Nature's condition can be met by having been executed.
There's precedent for that, but such conditions should be simple enough to not require any bookkeeping.

Yup. Some characters will have an easier time staying inside the bounds of their flaws than others. A Boomer with Works Alone is basically a free OPG, though her drawback meshes well with it as to get the full effect she'd need to leave the Brig. Roslin or Adama/Cain with Power Hungry are pretty solid, though it's not uncommon for someone to try to strip Roslin's Presidency to make the President's Office more efficient, and all it takes to get rid of Adama's title is a Brigging. That said, the drawback to Power Hungry isn't all that awesome, and getting its Advantage for free is circumstantial. Intolerant, if failed, isn't too horrible unless you're a Cylon, and its advantage might never be useful - if someone's in the Brig at 6 Distance, is there much likelihood that you'll need to put someone else there?
Cain with Intolerant makes for some interesting decisions. Also, in cases where it matters, Power Hungry and Intolerant will resolve in player order, beginning with the current player. It's possible that someone will "luck" into Power Hungry by having someone else fail their Intolerant.

Recent changes:
I replaced the 3-Destination condition from Homesick with the Auto Jump condition from Cowardly, and renamed it to Rash. Not sure if that's the right name, or if the thing fits together quite right, but it's a start. Maybe Hasty is a better fit.
I lowered the benefit from Selfish to 4 cards. I think 3 is too low; 1 more card than Press Room, without the Location or Skill Set restriction, 2 more cards than Consolidate Power if you count that you have to discard Consolidate to use it. While keeping yourself from hitting 0 cards is usually easy, in practice you'll need to keep at least 4 on hand in case a Shortage comes up on your turn.

Someone hasn't voted, but luckily that doesn't keep me from starting the game up and getting character selection underway (Complex Destiny is going in, and that's the only one that needs to be chosen up front). If anyone wants to wait until the Flaws are nailed down, that's fine with me, but at least I can give you player order:
1: Zalendar 2: Akumakei 3: Hannibal Rex 4: Asahi 5: Vagrant Lustoid
As of right now, it looks like Caprica will bury Crises, but not give Jump Icons. Human Fleet will allow you to Scout, then poach a card from a Player's hand.

I guess I can leave a public CO for my character preferences, in case that helps the others decide:
1) Helo 2) Roslin 3) Chief

I just assume that Klaus takes still Helo as anounced.
Reporting for duty, Admiral, .. eh, Lieutenant Agathon? Didn't you were yesterday still a Raptor jockey under my command?

I'm down here on Caprica, ...evading the Cylons and stuff. Just give me a few hours. ...Days. ...Weeks. I'll be back on Galactica in no time. Admiral? Yeah, sure, if you think so, it's cool.
Can't talk now, centurions inbound!

I can't believe it. The Colonies are gone, the Cylons are able to pass for humans and I've got some 40,000 urine samples to test. Look at all these, this is going to take forever! Gods, I hate science right now.
Wait, I'm being summoned by the commander? Hold on, I'll just change, I think I spilled some of these samples on myself earlier...
So what you're saying, if I understand you correctly, is that your only choice for presidency is a convicted terrorist, and since I used to work with the government to develop the stunning failure that was the Central Programming Network, you feel I'd be a better fit for presidency? Despite how my CNP was essentially what allowed the Cylons to cripple us in the first place, and that I am the ONLY person with the scientific knowhow to even stand a chance at figuring out who the Cylons are? I don't know if I'm the man you're after, commander... Let me think for a moment.
Imagining being president has confirmed one thing. I look stunning in a suit. I'll do it! What's my first task as president?
I can't believe I just had to sign off on more urine tests. God, this job sucks. I want my lab back.

With two politicians and one union leader on board, I hope I will be able to avoid the political games. I will draw 1 Leadership, 1 Tactic, 1 Piloting.

Before I send out Loyalty to Baltar and Flaws to everyone, I want to make sure everyone's good with starting the game with the Flaws as they are on the second post. I imagine there'll be another round of tweaking necessary post-game.
Also, I can see Flaws having an effect on what people draw (especially Reckless and Works Alone), so I won't accept draws until you see your Flaw. As well, we'll be doing private initial draws like the last game. Apollo, I also need your starting Sector.
Lastly, I will no longer accept Medium as a note for contribution to skill checks, regardless of the number of cards played. It just causes too many issues.
[edit] I also need the fifth player to vote in the polls on the previous page. Don't know who it is, but there are a couple changes where a single vote will make the difference.
-
-
I will start in sector 5.
EDIT: It seems that I was the missing player in the poll. I'm sure that I have voted, but the poll must not accepted it.

With those votes in, we'll be using both the Pegasus ICs and Complex Destiny. As well, Caprica will bury Crisis cards rather than discard them. Otherwise, none of the Cylon location changes were popular enough.

I've voiced my opinions on the Flaws. Other than that, I think everyone who signs up to play a variant game is aware that the experience will likely be a little rough around the edges. I wouldn't worry overmuch.

Okay, I'm beginning to send out Loyalty and Flaws. Sorry for the delay, this weekend was a lot busier than I'd expected. Once I get an initial draw (remember, privately) from everyone except Chief, we'll get the ball rolling.

Day 1 on Caprica. Have found a secluded area to set up camp after letting Boomer take the Raptor back to Galactica. Have enough rations for a few days, radiation meds for maybe twice that. Hopefully she can convince the old man to send a Rescue Mission
Admiral Helo, how persuasive were Boomer's arguments?
This Rescue Mission Activates Raiders and has a Jump Icon.

Sending a raptor after me while Caprica is still getting bombarded would be suicide. I know my special lady friends on Galactica won't like to hear that, but I'm going to have to stay down here a while longer. Tell them to have some fun with the Chief until I get back.
-1 morale and send Chief to sickbay.

Morale decreases by 1 to 9. Chief is sent to Sickbay after a particularly rowdy session with Boomer.
Raiders Activate: The Raiders in Sector 1 move to Sector 2.
Jump Prep track increases to Red 1.

Well, there's little reason to keep me in the President's office, so it's probably a good idea for me to move elsewhere. Likely to a position that's not going to need anyone else. Usually I'd say that means Press Room, but since we have two political leaders, that's not necessarily the best option. I'm also not sure that there's actually a better choice.
I do have an XO, so should I get Chief out of Sickbay, or is there a more pressing use for it?
