I'm trying to find senarios that are even on both sides for those time when you can only play on game and both sides want an equal chance, I understand love the asymmertic approach of M44 I just want to have a few even matches when needed.

If you go to the Days of Wonder site, and look up the scenarios, look up the battle reports. They give you the win/loss statistics, and you can find ones near 50%.

This one is bound to be even.

Another approach is to take a scenario you are interested in and then just even out the sides in the number of cards and troops. "even out" the terrain and objectives if you have to as well.
Otherwise, looking for those 50% or thereabouts scenarios works.

One of my favourites is Montelimar.
The (online) odds are about48%-52% (Axis - Allies).
Each side has a full range of units, there is an interesting range of terrain - but not too much. Both sides have objective medals to collect. Each side starts with units in each sector so no card is useless. 6 medals per side allows for a game of reasonable length where strategy has a much chance as simple luck.

I believe they have their medals backwards and the Allies are to push forward and get to the town that currently have German medals and vice versa.

I guess I went a little too subtle on that one. I'd better recalibrate the Sarcasm-o-tron.

Todd go ahead and get WW. Winter Weather/Reduced Visibility/Winter Combat Cards. That's the way to squeeze M44.

I do want winter wars, but I don't see how that will make a even game, I am simply trying to find some even games for the times we can only play one game and want to have a same chance to win.

Winter Combat Cards along with Winter Weather/Reduced visibility can change drastically the happenings of a battle.
Obviously, it won't convert a scenario into a symmetric game, but chances will increase with these rules in force.

The post suggesting Stratego was sarcastic; the implication is that Memoir '44 scenarios are not all balanced, and one should expect them to be.
I tend to agree, and I'd say that if you only have time for one scenario, just play one and don't worry too much about who had the advantage, if anyone. (Besides, there's no reason that you couldn't reverse the sides the next time you only have time for one game.)

Thats a good point, I don't have to play an even game its just something we would like to be able to do sometimes, like I said, I love the game just the way it is and would not change a thing.
