I'm getting so fed up with creating / joining games that only last a couple of turns before someone goes awol or quits so I want to try and setup a 'Private BGG' game using this as a match making thread in the hope that we can get a decent game going where each player is prepared to do a few moves each day and it actually finishes.
If you're interested please post your gamer name here. Mine's "Yojimbo252"
I'm in the GMT+0 timezone so would prefer players around the Euro or EST zones but as a first attempt I'm not going to make it mandatory as long as players are prepared to keep the game ticking along.
What I'll do is create a game name 'Private BGG' at 15:00 GMT+0 today.
Post your gamer name here in advance and join the game. I'll look to make it a 3er or 4er depending on how many responses I get by then.
If I see someone join that is not recognised on this thread then I'll cancel the game and start again (so please be prepared to hang around for a minute or 2 until we're under way). We can use this thread to communicate whilst getting setup.

I'm RylMets12. Anyone who would like to play Caylus, add me on Game Center.

Until this is fixed you'll need to find an 'external' way such as this thread for example to arrange a predetermined time to all be online and join the same game.

Well isn't that the worst. I'm new to the Ipad board gaming scene and haven't really had good online experiences with Ra (no game center), Tigris and Euphraties, and now Caylus.
It's really disapointing considering it was one of my main reasons for buying the machine. Let's hope it improves.

So rest assured if you like board gaming and appreciate the advantages the iOS platform bring to the (virtual) table, see what I did there, you've made a good choice.
It's just a matter for games like you mention above to catch up. Titan is also another game I eagerly await an online MP update for.

We're working on update with Caylus, so hopefully very, very soon (yeah, I know) this will be available for download. But still, guys, you can play online. You can log in, create your game, let your buddies know and they can log in and join you. It's not like there a 100 people waiting just to join your private game, so you won't have a chance playing with your friends
Seriously, give it a try.

I hear what you're saying but when you want to play with friends or other BGGers that might be scattered across different timezones it's not always that easy to ensure everyone is all signed in at the same time to launch a game.
I'm not saying it's impossible, but private invitations just takes all the pre-arranging and hassle away and makes life easy.
In any case great to see you're working on improvements. Looking forward to them.

I just got an iPad, and just got the Caylus app. Haven't played online yet, but I'm getting a little bored by the AI. So if you ever see "Rabbit" on the Caylus iOS, know at least that I won't intentionally quit.
