As Valentine's Day approaches, which rulebook is getting all your love right now ?

For me, it's ASL as ever, with a game on the go in the cellar, and a live game on Saturday. Also up is Perryville, another installment in the CWB series. Others will no doubt join them.

Kasserine. Played it with half the rules read and paging a lot. Pretty difficult, steep learning curve but I expect it to pay off with great gameplay. Any tips?

Finally giving SPQR a proper go, after buying it last summer and hardly touching it.

Picked up the rulebook for ATS as well as a last ditch effort to convince myself to keep Berlin Red Victory and Toktong Pass.

ASL, of course, the Operation Veritable rules in particular (there MUST be a rule in here that can stop the Germans), and The Republic of Rome, which is sort of a wargame if you hold the box at the right angle.

Our group just finished its first game of Ideology , and a 2nd is a given.

Also, our annual monster Advanced Civilization is scheduled for later this month, so its out for a little refresher. With 6 confirmed players and 1 tentative, and as we limit it to 8, the last slot is still open. But 2 expressed interest at our weekly game night last night so we again expect a full table.

I've got some online games of Squad Leader and Up Front on the go, so I'll be flicking through both of those. Also, I got Landships! Tactical Weapons Innovations 1914-1918 for my birthday a month ago so I guess I really should start reading it at some point.

Bismarck (second edition) since I need to get back into naval gaming.
Fighting Wings series rules since fully learning that system really will take a while.

Pacific Islands Campaign: Iwo Jima, might or might not get to it this month.

Looking forward to my first game of "Black Sea Fleets";I'm a great "Bomb Alley" fan,and they say this is just a continuation of BA.The rules look straight forward with not much fuss and muss;how does other players of these games compare these two?

I'm hoping to get several played through this month, including Warriors of God (which I am really excited about playing after a quick read) and Mosby's Raiders. I'm also planning to play one of my favorite games, Peloponnesian War, since my wife will be gone for a few weeks and I will have control of the dining room table.

I never got the first one, but I like the sound of the Korea one. Might you be tempted to read the B-17 rules as well, preparatory to joining our Group mission to Schweinfurt next week ?

Thanks, again, for the invite. Maybe someday.

The Korea expansion can't be played without the main B-29 game, which is, unfortunately, out-of-print.
