You really clocked up 100 pages of FAQs? :shake:

Yep, but that includes detailed explanations of the background for each question, and implications of the question and answers, and most questions then have multiple answers for FFG to choose from. There is also a section for SoB balance detailing many problems that aren't rules issues, but overall balance issues, and some suggestions people have made that might help as rules changes. Then the GLOAQ has a section as it really ought to be made part of the FAQ where it isn;t alsready, then the existing FAQ has a section, where things need updating or have errors or need to check against new question-answers.
And some pages have only one question, covering less than half a page (though most are full or close to full).

Here is the ToC, page numbers on the right, question numbers on the left (it helped keep track by numbering questions).

I am glad to hear they are going to do a final complete FAQ for the Descent series. Its a good way to send off a seasoned board game in style.

Also it is a great opportunity to pass the torch to Descent 2nd Edition.

My love for gaming started out with PnP (D&D red box) and board games (Avalon Hill Starship troopers) then transitioned to computer games Apple IIe and Atari 800. Gaming, gaming and more gaming all the way to present day. Many good memories!

Now it appears things are going full circle - a few years back I started collecting table games again, started with the casual collecting of D&D and other PnP games (hard back books are easy to store) then expanded to board games again starting with Descent. - Uh oh shelf space problems now : )

I remember seeing the huge Descent box on the self and the epic scene with the promise of high adventure. Twilight Empirium caught my eye first but I figured how many I could pull people into a long evening of that Scifi but a classic dungeon crawl? No problem! I only needed to mention that I would provide the drinks and away we went.

So yes good games matter and need TLC! I am quite happy that Descent is getting some final polish before we move on to new and great adventures.

Exactly my thought, and how I got started with the game in 2008! 2008 and 2009 I would have my friends come and play a game almost every saturday, we had a really good time. Then we played a bit of Starcraft, and they all moved to different cities (after graduating). I painted all my minis, I wish I could still play 1st ed as much as I was back in those years. Maybe 2nd ed will attract some of my current gaming partners, and I might crawl that big box back on the table once in a while.

I'm really surprised. Descent is probably the hardest game they have ever had to deal with when it comes to FAQs.

Kevin is probably going to have to put all his other projects on the back-burner to complete this Behemoth document! The Sea of Blood section will likely give him blood-squid nightmares for an eternity!!!

Hopefully they allow him to drink on the job to finish this project!
