Well if you're not here to offend, flame, or "call out" people then you've come to the wrong forum.
RSP is designated as an FBO area. (FBO = for bastards only )
Should you not fit this requirement then you should post in chit chat.

Hi there! Welcome to the Ghetto of BGG.
I promise you, we don't bite.
*well, much. And we have to know you a bit better- I don't bite on the first thread.*
That said, your thread lacks a real argument here-
Other than the fact that you disagree with the other poster, I don't see what your specific disagreement is about. Why do you think that Buddhism is 'superior'/'more convincing'/'better able to explain reality' than Christianity?
Personally (and I DO have a BA in philosophy, but I'll admit my focus is in Continental Philosophy with a focus on Epistemology and Ethics), I think he has a prima facie argument. Buddha taught that the world that we see with our sense is just an illusion, or maya. The purpose of the '5 Fold Path' is to be able to move beyond the illusion, and actually achieve true knowledge of the state of the world, and get off of the cycle of constant birth/rebirth.
In that regard, one could argue that Christianity is more 'empirical' than Buddhism, in that it says that this world is the world, its just not the important one. "Give unto Caesar what is Caesar's, but unto God what is God's". St. Augustine went further to argue that in this world of the Temporal, one should act in accordance with temporal authority and mores, but to always remember that the Spiritual world of Heaven-the City of God- is more important, and to live accordingly.
So the difference between Classic Christianity and Buddhism is that Christianity doesn't deny that the Temporal world exists- it just teaches that its not that important. Buddhism, on the other hand, argues that we see as the 'empirical world' is just an illusion that distracts us from true Reality.
Without any additional argument on your behalf, I have to give the nod to rcyo88.

I think the P's objection (if I understand correctly) is a disparaging remark about the stated religion of the OP of the thread referenced when the list is abotu what makes that poster who he is. In that case, it would seem to me analogous to a thread in which I might give my life story and discuss what is important to me as an Orthodox Jew and then somone replies telling me why he thinks Christianty superior to Judaism. That would just be rude.
Again, I may have missed the point of the OP of this thread but that is what he seems to me to be saying.

Well, he didn't provide a link, and as a general rule, I avoid Geeklists.
I find them extremely tedious. I much prefer to read things in a more 'essay' format.

Ok, I skimmed the thread in question.
So, to the OP-
Are you upset that Rcyo88 even MENTIONED Christianity in the OP's Geeklist? If so, then I think that the forum you want is Complaint's, because your argument would seem to be more about the perceived politeness of his post.
But if you want my honest opinion, I don't think that its a big deal. Rcyo88 didn't start a flame war, was generally pretty positive, didn't insult the OP, and just used the geeklist (about someone wanting to share their life to others) to express about HIMSELF. Given that it was a 'Lets Share' sort of Geeklist, I don't see that it crossed any lines.
Again, I have to give my nod to Rcyo88. But if you really have a problem with this, I'd contact either a Moderator or repost in the Complaints forum. Our role in the RSP is purely to argue the relative worth of arguments, and to provide snarky commentary along the way.

Technically, I never called anyone a bastard. I merely alluded that RSP was where all of the bastards congregated.

Darilian oh, you're quite good at this aren't you ? I don't want to lodge any formal complaints. I don't even know why I bothered with this. Mainly the "message me if you have questions about Christianity" thing is what drove me over the edge to the point of reducing myself to this sort of discourse. maybe do more than "skim" the thread. it is actually quite gripping. yeah, this gotta go. deleting moment of weakness in 5 minutes. The GL in question struck me as mental cnady floss but to each their own.

You lose all possible style points for this. And rack up some penalty ones.

You know it is possible to just stop reading and posting WITHOUT removing the content and making the conversation left behind disjointed.
Really you can.
However I did appreciate the link to an interesting Geeklist.

Meh.
Its the Buddhist version of my buddy Chuck.
Chuck played Jazz, ran away from an Ivy League school to work in a circus, taught himself coding, and is now a Libertarian activist.
I mean, its the same story- they're both Vegetarians!
Chuck just didn't go to India is all- he just outsources jobs TO India.
*lol*
Seriously though- I'm happy for the author of the Geeklist, but there wasn't anything there that I haven't read before. I mean, c'mon- there was that crappy movie Eat Pray Love that had the same riff.
But I'm not going to vent my cynical venom anymore in this direction- the OP of the Geeklist isn't even aware of this thread, and I see no reason to rip on Mulligan now that he thinks I'm a jerk.
