That explains why they could name any city in Washington (and knew Washington was a state).
I do have to admit that when I was rattling off 'U' countries, I forgot the U.S.

Well, now the video is private. I guess the ignorance (I'm assuming that's what it was) was overwhelming and got the typical positive response from YouTube comments.

I'm guessing this isn't uncommon. If I was asked to list countries starting with 'A', my list would probably be 'Armenia', 'Afghanistan' ....um.... duh, 'Australia'.
Edit: My wife is Austrian. How could I forget that one, too?

Seriously, I think you could do the same thing in most countries and get the same low level of answers.
There are idiots and ignorant everywhere, not only in the US.

Ah! I see they've changed the YouTube address!
And Paul, I agree that could can probably get this everywhere. I would venture to say, though, that Swedes are much better educated than Americans, especially the younger generations.

I'd also consider the possibility he interviewed a couple dozen more students and just picked these because it makes his video "better".

My thoughts, exactly. They obviously did not put all the students who gave the correct answers.
