I was browsing but I didn't see any polls done about which expansion map is the most popular/enjoyable. Has anyone done one lately?

Ooh a little higher, now a bit to the left, a little more, a little more, just a bit more. Oooh yes, that's the spot!

Not that I am aware of, possible options:
d10-1 As it says on the box for Power Grid: Brazil/Spain & Portugal - Buy them all!
d10-2 Check the ratings for each
d10-3 Check the User Suggested # of Players poll on the game page for expansion

Since all the expansions have tweaks, what may be one person's favourite expansion may be another person's least favourite.

I think it's largely personal preference, though I'd be interested if the general opinion of any of them were The Best or Yawn!

They all have special characteristics and, of course, different layouts. Just enough variation to keep things fresh.

Yes, you have forgotten EnBW and Quebec, which are (currently) available only via Funkenschlag: EnBW and Mégawatts respectively.

I think I've seen a map of Turkey somewhere here on the 'Geek, too. It looked like an official board in terms of its artwork, but was user-created.

I'm really surprised that Germany is the favorite. I found it just a more expensive version of the USA map. Is it because Mr. Friedemann Friese is from Germany?

My thoughts are to seek out the Benelux/Central Europe map, then the Korea/China map. The rules variants seem interesting.

I enjoy the faster pace of Benelux.
But China is great for a 2-3 player game with the revised auction system.

I'm surprised there aren't more votes for Atolla Modulis.
Probably because most people haven't played it. But I put it as my favorite because if I could only keep one map that would be it.
It is different every time and you can use any rule set you want.
