Adama: Madame President, we are the proud owners of the universe's first bona fide Cylon detector. Roslin: Well, that is great news. So... when do we begin? Adama: Doctor Baltar would like to start widespread testing as soon as possible, but there are some serious limitations, because he can only do one person at a time and verification takes hours. Roslin: So, who's going to go first? Adama: The test... right. I think people in sensitive positions should go first. Roslin: I completely agree. How about you? Adama: Excuse me? Roslin: If you're a Cylon, I'd like to know. Adama: If I'm a Cylon, you're really screwed.
Welcome to the Battlestar Galactica play-by-forum game Suspicions and Accusations. My favorite part about this game is the suspicions and accusations that fly around the table until the last Cylon is revealed. I don't think I could ever play that fully cooperative version. I will be your host.

This will be a 6 or 7 player game, Core Game, Pegasus, and Exodus. Kobol, New Caprica, or Ionian Nebula destination will be player's choice along with which parts of Exodus that get used.
Players are expected to be familiar with all the rules of Battlestar Galactica, especially the rules of secrecy regarding cards. Each player also needs a copy of the game, because I am only allowed to reveal card names, not texts.
Players are allowed to post game discussions and tactics discussions in normal text like this. Italics are used for roleplaying and flavor, which often adds good ambience and fun to the games. Bold text is used for orders. Examples of orders are moves, card plays, actions, attacks, and other things. I will not take an action for your character unless posted in bold.
I will ask that players not geekmail/email each other to discuss game tactics in order to keep knowledge from other players. The nature of the game is that all table discussion is heard by all players. That being said, it is allowable to geekmail certain instructions to me rather than posting (like playing Investigative Committee or Strategic Planning). Conditional orders, in order to speed up gameplay, are also acceptable and greatly encouraged. I will expect all players to keep on top of their Once-per-game ability. I will not prompt for these, so if you believe you may use it, post it or send me a conditional order.
For skill checks, I will post an interrupt chart regarding possible Investigative Committee or Scientific Research plays. For die rolls, I ask that if a player would like to wait for a possible Strategic Planning card, that they mention this in their post. The game will go too slowly if we post an interrupt for every single die roll. Obviously, it would be good to send a conditional order if you would like a Strategic Planning card to be used for a viper attack or cylon ship attacks. Please check ahead to see what will likely be occuring and stay on top of it, as I will not backtrack. (I will backtrack if I make a mistake but I will not backtrack due to someone else's mistake.)
Please try to check the board at least once or twice a day so that we can get through people's turns in good time. My timezone is US Mountain (GMT-7). I will usually be on 2-3 times a day (at home mostly but occasionally from work).
Please identify your character frequently. There is a great list of images to use here: Battlestar Galactica - Online BGG Game - Photo Gallery / Avatars When posting a skill card play, please use color codes with lowercase color (Ex: color=purple instead of COLOR=#990099) as these are the color codes I will be using on all my posts. This will make it easier to follow for everyone. Politics code orange (yellow is too difficult to see) Leadership code green Tactics code purple Piloting code red Engineering code blue Treachery code brown
I will send card draws and hand reminders via geekmail. Players are, of course, urged to keep track of their hands. All card related items as well as random events such as damage will be handled by the spreadsheet designed by

I would be happy to play!
For Exodus components, I approve of Cylon Fleet Base, CAG (obviously) and Trauma, but not necessarily in conjunction with Ionian Nebula. I would prefer to not use Cylon Leaders.

Just a note, trauma and allies are part of Ionian Nebula. If that is not the destination, trauma, allies, and crossroads will not be used.

Accept!

I vote for everything Exodus except PGs, so destination IN.

I vote to play with all the bits - Conflicted Loyalties, Cylon fleet board, Ionian Nebula (and allies and trauma), Cylon leader (or sympathetic Cylon), the whole shebang.

Thanks for the invitation! I'm in, and I vote for playing with all components. Also I prefer Cylon Leaders to the no-sympathizer variant. (Can you even play a seven-player game without a Leader?)

Looks like we have a full crew. This is the first time that every single one of my initial invitees accepted. This must be a sign.
I will let the alternates know that we thank them for being ready but we do not have room for them.
I will post player order as soon as I have it.

First, just a couple of rules clarifications.
With a 7-player game, one of you MUST choose a Cylon Leader.
Looks like the pre-game voting said that we are using everything. That means some of you may get Final Five Loyalty or Personal Goal Loyalty. Just a reminder that all of those count as You are NOT a Cylon Loyalty cards for gameplay and victory purposes.
All rules will be handled per the rulebooks with help from the latest version of the official FAQ which can be found here: http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_content/Battlestar_Gal...
To Orphius, oriecat, and any other mod, past or present, playing this game, I do not mind if you get an interrupt token going or post a rules clarification in my absence. I want this game to be fun so I encourage questions and participation.
I have stopped using geeklists for board images so the whole game will be visible here.
Most of all, have fun.
Randomly determined player order is: (I promise this was random.) Coyolxa Circadian Orphius oriecat LL6869 Dranaden TerminusEst
Please post your character in player order. Feel free to geekmail me a CO for character selection if you want.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, my free time is not going to be as free as I thought. I must withdraw from this game. Sorry everyone!

I am reaching out to raster51 to see if he wants to fill in. If he does, I will just put him at the end of the list for turn order. Please continue to choose your characters.

I havn't played a military leader for quite a while, so I'd like to choose Cain.

This fleet needs a proven pilot and a true leader, who's good looking, to boot. That's right, Apollo's here to keep all you viper jocks in line. No one has bluer eyes than me.
I choose Lee "Apollo" Adama, starting in Sector 5, please.

So now that all the characters are chosen, do we wait for raster or do we play with 6 people? Player's choice. In case of a tie vote, we wait.
Edited to add: If we do wait, we are only giving raster until the original deadline of 9AM Monday morning.
