I apologize if these have been answered in previous posts, or seem incredibly obvious, but I have a few questions about some rules that seem a bit vague...
1. If a tormentor comes out, do you have to roll the curse die immediately, even though it’s on the second stone? The rules say that items on the second stone occur “every” turn. Does the initial turn count as part of “every” turn? I have been playing that the curse die roll doesn’t happen until each subsequent turn…
2. Can a player take both Buddha’s on his turn, or can only the Blue player do this with his ‘Second Wind’ ability??
3. Do Haunters only activate and move on the individual player’s turn? For example…I’m the red player and I have a haunter, but it’s the Yin phase of blue’s turn. Do my haunters move? Or only on the Yin phase of MY turn? I’ve been playing that they only move on the Yin phase of the respective player who controls them.
4. Say I am the yellow player, and I draw a red tormentor card. Does its curse die activate immediately (kind of an extension of the first question)? If so…who takes the roll? If not…does this curse die now activate in the Yin phase of RED’s turn? Or does the yellow player who initially drew the card, roll the die??
Thanks in advance for the clarification and help.

To answer your questions (hopefully)
1) You do not have to roll the dice the first turn. Ghost actions occur prior to drawing a ghost, so the opportunity for the ghost to torment on the first turn already passed.
2) Each use of the temple gets you one Buddha. As you noted, the Blue player can take both by using his power.
3) You are playing correctly. Each player activates the ghosts on their board only. Note: If playing with less than 4 players, the neutral players ghosts activate during their yin phase as well (they just don't spawn a ghost)
4) If there is a spot on Red's board, the tormentor goes there. Red will roll the curse die on his turn.
Hope that helps!

1. No, the initial turn (the time the ghost is placed) does not have a curse die roll. Only on the subsequent turns.
2. No... only 1 Buddha, but on the special blue powers, yes.
3. Haunters on your board only move on your Yin phase
4. Same as #1... and it would apply to the board where the card is placed. So in your example, when it comes time for the Red player to take their turn, they would roll the curse die.

1. Middle stone takes effect when the ghost is ACTIVATED. I.e. it is on the board of one of the players at the start of that player's turn. At the start of your turn, look at your board, and activate all the ghosts there (i.e. whatever is on the middle stone). So, no. LEFT stones are activated as they are placed.
2. Only blue. Pick up ONE buddha per activation.
3. Same answer as 1.
4. Same as 1.!

Thanks everybody for the quick responses!
Time to go get destroyed by this game over and over and over again, while at least playing correctly! (I'm a glutton for punishment, I guess)
Thanks again, everyone.

You said that "Ghost actions occur prior to drawing a ghost, so the opportunity for the ghost to torment on the first turn already passed."
Is this also true for the Haunter? When a Haunter card is drawn, it has the Haunter icon on the center stone, but I've been placing a Haunter on it when it comes into play. Should I be waiting until the NEXT turn to place the Haunter, making it take THREE full turns to haunt a tile???
Thanks!

When the ghost comes out, the haunter figure is placed on the card as part of the placement. Each time the ghost activates, it moves one spot.
