I just received my copy of Forgotten Heroes Vietnam! Very excited to have a squad level tactical game for this time period.

Components are excellent, and I can't wait to dive into the rules.

One question that I do have is that in the scenario "The Relief of Plei Me", the date states November 1967, is this correct. From what I have read the Special Forces Camp was attacked in October of 1965, and the resulting conflict in that area was the Oct-Nov 1965 time period, and not in 1967. Am I wrong, was there also another operation in that area in 1967?

In short, Thanks to Mark Walker for developing a Vietnam War era tactical game. I know that I will completely enjoy this game!

I cant wait to get my copy. The past week I have been playing Heroes of the Blitzkrieg, Heroes of the Gap and Day of Heroes to get more acquainted with the rules, and have been having a great time.

I just got mine today too and the components are top notch. I just played the "Friend in need" scenario. Two NVA squads showed up from an event and the Americans got slaughtered. Even though it was such a one sided game, I felt like the Americans could have pulled out a win until Lt. Jensen got killed.

Yes, I really have high hopes for this game. This is my first LnL game.
Played most other tactical wargames on the market, all of which are WWII, it was excellent to finally get a Vietnam era game. Got to read rules, but can't wait to play. Hopefully, I won't like it, so the other games in the series will not cost me any more cash (Somehow, I don't think that this will be the case)!

Jim, dont forget to check the facebook vassal forum for hookups to learn to play LNL.
It helps.
The modern era titles are superb. Ring of Hills and of course heroes of the gap and Lock 'n Load: A Day of Heroes.

Well, in case anybody wants to get it right--and if Wikipedia has got it right--here's a short online article on Plei Me.

And a photo:

Oh, and there's also the board game: Plei Me 1965.

Yes, thanks for the link, Patrick. I've have really enjoyed reading the rules, however; I have not had time to do any solo practice runs yet. I really do like the spotting aspect, I think that I will like this much better than attempting to keep up with hidden units or decoy chits! After a few plays I'm sure I'll have to purchase some WWII LnL!
