Can anyone clear up these queries please?
DOPPLEGANGER 1) If he chooses to take cards from the other main player, does he get to take these before or after that player chooses a card to play in the challenge?
2) After the Doppleganger receives his cards could the other main player then buy cards from the deck for lucre?
3) If the Doppleganger plays a compromise card, does he keep the cards received in consolation?
4) If a player plays Cosmic Zap, then as the Doppleganger has no cards, I presume that his challenge would end?
CALCULATOR
If an opponent plays an attack 9 and kicker 3 and the Calculator declares Ëqualise', playing an attack 4 card, does the opponent score 23 or 15?
TERRORIST
1) Ina 2 player double systems game does the Terrorist plant 4 bombs?
2) When a player wins a first challenge on a planet where the Terrorist plants a bomb, resulting in his tokens going to the Warp, am I correct in thinking that he may proceed with a second challenge?
THE ORACLE
In challenges against The Skeptic, is the Oracle entitled to see The Skeptic's card before stating that he agrees or disagrees that he will win or lose the challenge?
THE MACHINE
If the Machine plays the Wild Insect Flare, thus discarding his hand and drawing a new one, am I right in assuming that if he has lost the previous challenge, his turn would now end?
DIPLOMAT
Whenever the Diplomat calls 'negotiate'and no deal is agreed upon, I presume that the offensive player does not gain a base, even if he actually won the challenge?
FILCH
Is he allowed to filch an opponent's kicker AND challenge card?

I don't know all the answers off the top of my head, but for what it's worth:
CALCULATOR: apply the calcuation to the challenge cards before applying the kicker.
TERRORIST: 1) Yes. 2) Yes.
MACHINE: No, as long as Machine has challenge cards, he can keep going. That Flare is very helpful to Machine in that cause.
FILCH: Does not get to filch kickers.

Which way did I go?
Pick a card.

Quote: 2) After the Doppleganger receives his cards could the other main player then buy cards from the deck for lucre? Yes.
Quote: 3) If the Doppleganger plays a compromise card, does he keep the cards received in consolation? He may keep any Edicts, but must discard any Challenge cards. It's not clear if he can keep Flares or Kickers, but I'd assume he can.
Quote: 4) If a player plays Cosmic Zap, then as the Doppleganger has no cards, I presume that his challenge would end? I don't think so, but it's not clear what happens. Either he plays the first challenge card draw off the top of the deck, or he draws a hand of cards normally (and then discards all the challenge cards when the zap wears off), or his turn ends immediately if he's the offense (but what if he's the defense?).
Quote: CALCULATOR
If an opponent plays an attack 9 and kicker 3 and the Calculator declares Ëqualise', playing an attack 4 card, does the opponent score 23 or 15? The Kicker multiplies BEFORE any other effects that alter the cards, like Calculator - this is stated specifically on page 4 of the complete rulebook (included in expansion set #9).
Quote: TERRORIST
1) Ina 2 player double systems game does the Terrorist plant 4 bombs? That's a non-official variant, so you can do what you want, but I'd recommend yes.
Quote: 2) When a player wins a first challenge on a planet where the Terrorist plants a bomb, resulting in his tokens going to the Warp, am I correct in thinking that he may proceed with a second challenge? Yes. He still won the challenge even if he didn't profit by it, same as if he had just defeated the Filth and had to fumigate the planet.
Quote: THE ORACLE
In challenges against The Skeptic, is the Oracle entitled to see The Skeptic's card before stating that he agrees or disagrees that he will win or lose the challenge? Eon's official timing rule order was this:
Non-main players first, starting to the left of the Offense and preceding clockwise. Then the Offensive main player. Then the Defensive main player.
So in this case, I think it would depend on which is offense and which is defense. If Skeptic is offense, I'd say Oracle has to decide before seeing Skeptic's card. And if Oracle is offense, he gets to see Skeptic's card before Skeptic can use his power.
I think.
Quote: DIPLOMAT
Whenever the Diplomat calls 'negotiate'and no deal is agreed upon, I presume that the offensive player does not gain a base, even if he actually won the challenge? Correct. The Diplomat overrides the normal outcome of the challenge.
Quote: FILCH
Is he allowed to filch an opponent's kicker AND challenge card? No, just the challenge card.
