who has spent quite a bit of time and love to create an iPhone version of the game that will be put up on the Apple store very soon. He went far beyond my expectations for the game when the project started and it looks great. I will post some screenshots in the image section.

Just curious what people would like to see next, so I've created this poll:

I really wanted to vote for 2 items (iPhone expansion adventures and more single page adventures). I'm really looking forward to the iPhone implementation, but the single page adventures have gotten the most play. I have an Artscow version of the Advanced Game, but the balance never seemed great, so I just went back to the single page ones. I would love to see several more.

The screenshots do look awesome. So, how do you define "very soon"? I'm anxious to play this one.

Thanks to me and a few "just one more small tweak", it got pushed out a bit longer, most likely it will be available around the middle of this month.

One tiny little submission problem (Retina view, grr) is fixed and it is IN THE STORE. For my part I'd like to high five Drew for making such an awesome game. When I first came across it on BGG I swear I played it 30 times in a row. I always wanted to make an iPhone game, but, well, I'm not a game designer. But then put the flibby floo in the shippy shoo and bam!

Buy three!

It's fun, Graham. Thanks for all your hard work on it. Here is my review and analysis on the initial release with a series of small tweak suggestions if you are interested:

******

I have been looking forward to this one. Solitaire games seem to be an ideal fit for iOS.

The app is well worth the purchase price and there is a lot of love and charm in the implementation. There are some bugs, some times when it would be nice to get some thematic animations, and when it might be strategic to see some more choices in which dice are spent or which target(s) are attacked, hurt, or healed. There are times when it isn't obvious what just happened or how an enemy attacks and the tutorials and help screens are terse, so it is beneficial to know the basic mechanics and rules in advance of playing the app, but overall it is a fun and worthy light dice game.

Bugs I have seen already include blank info screens on the characters when starting a second game, and portraits during game that inconsistently vanish when a character is knocked out. Other elements of the user interface will disappear unexpectedly, too, later in a game. I suspect a few simple patches and updates will address the issues (which appear on both my iPhone and on my iPad at 2x) as the developer is obviously passionate about a great product, and the concerns I have should be straightforward and important to address.

A couple of minor changes I would recomwould include:

* Don't let the Paladin use laying on hands when no one is hurt
* Don't repeat the monster description in the game history when a player presses the info button twice in a row (just re-open the log rather than repeat the message)
* UI disappearing issues need to be fixed
* It would also be immersive to see enemy dice rolls and get a dialog when a trap first appears and then gets resolved to build suspense rather than just have it instantly happen and be over and more likely to confuse than add to the experience
* Finally, I'm not positive if the ranger attack/block (dual wield) is working properly (it blocks one regular attack, but it seems like it ought to block certain special attacks, too, like a dwarf or maybe an assassin).

Overall, easily recommended for its low price and nice art when it is working properly.

Memory leak! Sound leaks and apparently that makes the images unload. Technically doesn't crash...

Patch was done and pushed last night; I don't know how long it will take to appear. Close your other apps in the meantime. I had Medici, Ra, Tikal, et al running when I finally reproduced it. Possibly Knizia's bug. I'll let him know.

Oh and of course, if you play with the sound off everything will be fine. Switch is in the Options menu in game.

My kids and I have been playing the iPhone version this week, and I think it's really well-done. (I never play games with the sound on anyway, so I haven't experienced the glitches that others have.) I know some people have complained about the art, but I think it's very appropriate to the game, even if it gives it a different feel from the PnP version.

I will second Ben's sentiments above about wanting to see more of what happens during the enemy's attack and from traps (probably with the option to turn that part off to make the game play faster for those who want it).

I see this app getting a lot of playing time in our house. Nice job!

I just saw version 1.1 got approved! Now you can play with the sound on, and then turn it off after hearing the groan-worthy dialog. But at least now you'll be turning the sound off on purpose.

Is this where we should be posting bugs?

* The cleric's Circle of Friends power does not affect all enemies, for example Assassin vine and Pixies still attack.

* The barbarian will take all 6s rolled, not just 2. rolling four 6s should allow the barbarian to charge and the ranger to dual wield.

* The rogue doesn't attack the strongest enemy (as the powers state). Instead he attacks the lowest one on the list, even it if is more advantageous to attack a different target.

I love this game, by the way.
