Can't see any mention of it being made here so though I'd list this.
I found this bit of news today from the Earth Reborn website:

And what everyone wants to know.
The price for North America will be US$165 (no sales tax) + US$28 shipping (shipping from Europe, with tracking number). Your non-refundable reservation deposit is US$27 and will be deducted from your final amount.
That price sounds fairly reasonable to me.

Wow, what timing. I just got my figures today painted by Lazuli Painting and they are truly exceptional quality. And the final cost with shipping both ways is about $150.
Great to see them and funny timing! Glad they are finally coming out. I'll post pics of Lazuli's figures over the weekend so you can compare.

I paid about $110.00 with postage to Painted Figs for mine.
I'm still waiting for them to arrive back in the mail.

Good lord! I was looking forward to the possibility of these being marketed but had no idea that they would have a price that high. I'll chalk that up to my lack of knowledge of the going rate of painted figures; I'll have to pass.
Ah, well. At least I'll have no problem loving this excellent game without using painted figures.
Thanks very much for the posts, guys, regardless.

I'm just thankful that these aren't being painted by people that are working for slave wages, seriously.

I'll see if I have time tonight to post pics of Lazuli's figures.
I'm glad to see there are many good options to get your figures painted. I've noticed $6 to $10 seems to be the going rate per figure for good to great quality painting.

I remember a book by the economist Paul Krugman who said such notions, while well intentioned, are misguided. The person working for slave wages obviously has no better alternative. Their only competitive advantage is their low wage. Take that from them and they have nothing.
In your example, I am pretty sure the person who would have painted it for slave wages is pretty bummed the work went elsewhere.....
On a side note, I wonder how long it takes somebody to paint a figure? It takes me a long time but I am not very good. I think if got $10 per figure, I'd be working for about $3.00 an hour.

Hi TedW,
I am the head artist at Lazuli Painting. For me to paint a model I would charge $10.00 for, it would take about half an hour. Of course when you combine many figures with the same paint scheme, it goes a lot faster than that too. We normally split the work with one person doing the basecoats, another doing the highlights, etc.

Thanks for the pics! I'm using it as a preview of my own!

That price is certainly reasonable for hand-painted miniatures. It's also nice that they seem to have fixed the zombie numbering.
Regardless, I'm still going to go with a local guy to paint my ER minis. The cost will probably be a bit more, but I'll have more control over how each character looks.
EDIT: I also just noticed that their post said this is limited to 150 sets worldwide, so you should probably get in on it sooner than later if you're even thinking about it.

Tennberg wrote: It's also nice that they seem to have fixed the zombie numbering. The ones in the pictures look to be manually re-based. If I had to guess, I don't think the sets they sell will have that, as it adds a fair bit of fiddly extra work. Also, I suspect they are probably doing the painted miniatures from existing stock and not a fresh run, which would allow for the correction at the production stage.

If i'm going to get this game, i may have to get a local miniature painter to paint them for me, the cost is quite stunning...especially to people from my region.

Lazuli Painting did an amazing job on the ones they painted, but it is nice to see some 'official' ones being released.
