I noticed this on HobbySearch It's officially licensed, with the logo and (C) Rio Grande Games on the cover. The theme is the anime licensed as "Majikoi ~ Oh! Samurai Girls" in the US by Sentai and Crunchyroll. Which never struck me as especially popular, but I guess enough so to get an official Dominion expansion.

I can't tell if the cards are original or rethemed clones of existing cards, although the last one looks like Oasis. I'm guessing they would have the same cardback; it looks like an expansion, not a stand-alone game.

After looking at that link, I only have 1 comment:

Oh, I forgot to add...there's also a set for Nitroplus, a maker of eroge and other visual novels. http://dominion.ne.jp/characters/nitro/index.php. They're calling it "Nitroplus Card Masters," although it's clearly rethemed Dominion. The "Harem" card is perfect: http://dominion.ne.jp/characters/nitro/images_nd/news001.jpg

Is "anime" now just a synonym for scantily clad girls in school outfits? It's really unfortunate that the entire genre has become corrupted like that - because it's also capable of fantastic drama and adventure that apparently doesn't sell well in card art form.

That link is engrish-tastic. "In front suddenly supervised its harbor, the charm of the work exhaustively to reproduce?"

- Have all the things you need to ask one! No need for any additional expenses? - Additionally, if no play up to four persons per box, overwhelmingly reasonable? - Make love to me seriously!

Nitroplus is best recognized for its Fate Stay Night anime, a mainstream anime title. So let's hope Rio Grande Games gets some major Yen to produce even more games.
Any ideas if the rethemes will overlap? That is, will both Touhou and Nitroplus have rethemes of the Dominion base set?
Japan has a *huge* CCG market. AFAIK, Much of it is based on licensed properties or at least oriented towards the otaku crowd. However, if it's like the American CCG market, a licensed CCG game would flop and disappear. If Dominion can make a huge impact on the non-CCG boargame community, why *not* export it overseas? And, since Dominion is a themeless game, why *not* export it under a license so it attracts a wider customer base?
And, regarding Tanto Cuore, in my gaming circles, it's the guys who buy the game *but* the girls who play them.

I have only a bare smattering of Japanese, but from what little I can make out, I think the four sample cards are Mountebank, Rabble, Militia, and Oasis, respectively.

I have no deeper knowledge of Dominion, but this is what the cards say:
(From left to right) #2 +2 Coin All other players may discard a Curse. If they don't, they gain a Curse and a "Soldier's Carisma"
#3 +3 Cards All other players reveal their top 3 cards. Discard any Action or Treausre of the revealed cards, and put the rest back on the draw pile.
#4 = Militia +2 Coin All other players must discard down to 3 cards
#5 +1 Action +1 Coin +1 Card Discard a card.

Actually, Type-Moon is the company that created Fate Stay Night and the recently aired Fate/Zero. There is a Nitro+ Dominion Retheme that has Fate/Zero characters as a guest appearance though.
I think HobbyJapan intends to have 3 branches of Dominion Products (inferenced from http://dominion.ne.jp/). They translate the original Dominion, a Touhou Retheme, and a Anime Characters Retheme (Dominion Characters).
I own the first Touhou Set and they contain mainly the base set cards, I believe the various series aren't meant to be mixed, but its all the same system so if you can get past the resultant weird theme...

The photographs are equivalent cards to Mountebank, Rabble, Militia, and Oasis. The box mentions 25 "character cards". So looks like this is mixing a few of the original sets.
