What is the criteria you use to select the online retailer, if you use one? Is it price? Service? Rewards? Selection? something else? and how did you find the retailer you use?

Price and distance. I happen to live within a 3 mile radius of CSI, so that makes it extremely easy to place an order and pick it up within 15 minutes. Not only do I get the best prices and my 4% loyalty discount, but I never have to pay for shipping, either. It's like a dream come true.

BoardGamePrices.Com is a good tool to check prices. I usually start there before factoring in shipping rates/times, service, etc. Usually, I wind up using Boards & Bits unless they're out of what I'm looking for.

I usually purchase from Boards & bits or Wargame Depot, both of which I found from users on this site. They have both been excellent.

I found CoolStuffInc while sorting through all of the online game stores a few years ago, and I have not regretted it. Their customer service has been phenomenal, their loyalty rewards are a small but awesome way to show their appreciation for my business, and they stay pretty well on top of stock.
I have used Boards and Bits, Miniature Market, and Wargame Depot in the past for specific titles, and had no problems, but CSI has been my site of choice pretty much from the beginning.
Cheers!

Price and past experience. When you get burned, you never go back. I've been super happy with miniature market so far. I adore boards and bits but I get charged taxes which kind of sucks.

I use boardgamesearch.com. After typing in the game you are looking for, there are about 10 reputable retailers listed and by simply clicking each, you can price compare. I have ordered from nearly all of those listed and have never had a bad experience.

I have bought from Boards and Bits, Miniature market, and Time Well Spent games. How I decide where to buy from is: I figure out what games I want to purchase, look at these websites, check prices of all games on my order, and purchase from the site that gives me the cheapest overall cost.

Generally I order from whoever has what I want in stock. Usually I order 2-3 games at a time to get free shipping, and generally only 1 or 2 stores have all the items I want in stock.
I have had excellent experiences with: GameSurplus Boards & Bits Thoughthammer Timewellspent Sci-Fi City Coolstuff Inc. Cardhaus/Boardgamehaus Miniature Market and Heron Games in the UK.

Recomendation of personal friend, Thought Hammer, and continued satisfaction in my experience with them. Aside from the random Amazon purchase, Thought Hammer is the only OLGS I order from.

Who has the best combination of prices and shipping, followed by a quick check on BGG to see if their reliable. My two top picks right now are CSI and Miniature Market.

I'm with you Sean... I research pricing when I am buying games online and CSI and MM seem to always have the best prices. Even if it is close, I order from them since I have always had a great experience with them.. There are others which I like---nws-online, thoughthammer, sci-fi city, boardgamehaus.. they're all good...

I split my orders generally into 3 categories, local game store, Amazon.com, and Boards & Bits, mainly determined by ease of receiving packages and price. That said, I haven't purchased many games.
Like others have mentioned, I group my items into a bundle and check some prices. Unless it's a huge difference in price, I prefer Amazon.com because they ship USPS and UPS which are both much easier for me to have delivered than FedEx. FedEx requires me to go out of my way during the work day to pick up.
Every once in a while, I've purchased from the local game store, especially if the price difference isn't huge.
Does anyone choose to buy direct from publishers? I'd figure that supports the publisher more than any other method, but the publishers often price at full MSRP to avoid bad relationships with distributors and stores.
