Hey there!

We just went through a "Zombie Apocalypse" Scenario last night, and one of the game rules, "Heros Replenish" has me looking for official word on the limit.

See, the scenario ends when the Zombies take over 6 buildings, but in our case, We managed to kill off 10 heroes (With 2 heroes left badly wounded).

My questions are:
A) Is there a limit on how many heroes we can replenish?
B) If I bought hero expansions, would that raise the limit(From our current 12 heroes in stock)?
C) If we kill all heroes, do they get to respawn previously-murdered Heroes?
D) If we kill all the heroes, do Zombies win (Regardless of destroyed buildings, there's no other human standing )

Thanks for your time.

The game ends immediately after zombies kill 4 heroes.

Yup, that's in the Rule book on Page 17.

We were. Till about 2am, when the players turned into zombies, mindlessly throwing dice just to get through the last 3 turns because they wanted to sleep

Yep, and kills includes getting turned into a zombie hero.

Also I think if a hero kills himself (lighting gas can in own square) counts as a kill for the zombies.

I thought that's only when the "Always Zombie Heroes" DOTs rule is in effect. The Zombie Apocalypse Scenario doesn't have the "Always Zombie Hero" rule on it.

Unless the scenario states otherwise, the zombie player wins after killing 4 heroes, that includes turning heroes into zombies. It doesn't matter if 'Always Zombie Heroes' is in play or not.

Curiously, I couldn't find anywhere in the rulebook about a hero killing himself whether that would be a kill for the zombie player, however, I believe when a hero dies for any reason it should be counted as a kill for the zombie player.

We tend not to count heros that kill themselves as zombie kills because.

A: It hasn't happened very often at all with our group.

B: Style!!! The odd time we have seen a hero kill him or herself it's usually heroically, with a bang that takes some zombies with them. It's a concensus in our gaming group that a suitably cinematic self kill doesn't count for the zombies.

Zombies don't care how you die. Any dead Hero is a step closer to Zombie victory.

You may want to re-think that.

Father Joseph can kill himself right before he would die anyway in a fight by using his ability to discard a zombie 'Remains in Play' card with his last wound. It's in the FAQ. Your way, Father Joseph would almost never get counted for a zombie kill.

Heroes can kill themselves erecting barricades and reinforcement markers. Heck, if that didn't count for zombie kills, the heroes could rapidly build re-inforced barricades all over the place at no consequence and get new heroes with free cards to boot, possibly even better ones.

I'm sure I can come up with more scenarios, but just for these reasons alone, any hero death for any reason has to count as a kill for the zombie player.

I didn't bother getting the expansion with barricades, so that has never come up.

But it doesn't really need rethinking, we play the game the way we enjoy it.

As you should . As you don't use barricades and as you stated earlier that heroes killing themselves doesn't happen very often when you play, your particular group has no worries over the issue.
