The US 60mm mortar section has two range listings: C-L. I assume that means close range (1 card) for Direct Lay, Long range (2 cards) for Indirect Lay?

Sorry if it's an obvious question. I searched on C-L in this forum and in the rulebook and couldn't find the answer.

Thanks in advance.

it means that can fire at close and long range at all times(not at point black and very long range)

Ahh, I'm glad I asked. Makes sense: mortars do have a minimum range.

Thanks for the answer.
