I'm playing my first scenario, "Fleur de Mai" and a I have a few questions.
1. What happens when a crowd cannot retreat? The situation was that a trained crowd with pistol punk unit was boxed in between building squares (north of "Posh Hotel") and suffered a retreat 2 result. As it can't enter a building or retreat into an enemy-occupied square, what happens to it? I simply removed it from play.
2. Does a unit suffering a WiA or KiA result on the fire table have to take a Morale Check? I think so as there is a DRM table, but I can't find it stated in the rules.
3. Water Canon. The rules state that it cannot fire through any obstruction. Is a barricade an obstruction in this case?

Hi Sam,
1. Yes, remove the unit since it can't go anywhere (the members of the crowd are assumed to scatter or give up en masse, to the point where they lose all cohesion and threat)
2. The version of the game I'm reading say both on the charts (under the Fire CRT) and in the rules (5.31, second sentence) that a unit that is fired upon ALWAYS takes a Morale Check, regardless of result rolled.
3. I would say no, it cannot fire through. The mob player buys the barricades before the gmae starts and it is assumed they are made up of piled up junk, dumpsters, furniture, wrecked cars etc. and so are quite solid. These are not the lightweight metal portable crowd barriers the police use to confine crowds (and which don't work against a determined mob anyway). But a Mob unit stacked with the barricade could of course be attacked by the water cannon, with the defensive benefit of the barricade.

Thanks for the quick answers!
Can the Water cannon drive through a hex containing a barricade?
I figure it probably can't, which would make it pretty useless once the barricades are cleared of mob units as there is no way for the police to clear barricades from the map.
Anyway, this is a very interesting design that I'm liking a lot. Hopefully, it will get a wider distribution someday, which it definitely deserves. I'd like to play one of those 3-player scenarios FtF as they look pretty cool.

Forget my last question, I just saw the terrain chart and it's clearly stated that vehicles are prohibited in squares containing barricades.

Wow Sam, you like your water cannons don't you... I'm glad you like the game, I'd like to give it a greater distribution but as with many of my designs there isn't a great amount of demand for the subject (though those that like it, like it a lot). One of these days I woudl like to go back and update some of the language in the rules and so forth, not much time though and I always seem to be designing something new... anyway, if you have any suggestions or find errata I'd like to hear them.
