Hey guys,

I am thinking of getting this game and I might have the possibility of getting it with an expansion. Are some expansions better than others? I know the dragon one gets mentioned often...

Of all the expansions available I most enjoy Defenders of the Realm: Hero Expansion #1 as the Captain of the Guard and Adventurer heroes feel like they enable me to expand my strategic options. I think you will probably end up getting Defenders of the Realm: The Dragon Expansion but it does offer significant steps up in difficulty. If you are winning consistently, you might be ready.

If you are interested in having pre-painted miniatures for this game and are interested in the hero expansions, check out Eagle's web site offer to receive all the pre-painted miniatures free when you buy all three hero expansions together.

This is what I did without having played a game. I don't regret it.

Getting the pre-painted minis is a must IMO. I thought I was saving money purchasing the game and expansions from an online retailer, getting free shipping. Wrong! Now going back to purchase the pre-painted minis, it's quite a bit more.

Do what Brother Jom suggests. Wish I had. I don't regret getting the game (playing today, actually). But the pre-painted minis are worth every cent.
