I was just walking in from shopping, to be greated by:

"Something bad has happened?"

"How bad?"

"Is the War of the Ring board supposed to be in two halfs?"

"Yes"

"Oh, not that bad then, the game fell off the tables and I thought the board had split in two."

"Right"

"There is quite a bit of tidying up to do though"

(After tidying, all pieces present and correct. Beware the hazards of drop leaf tables)

Man, I did this, too. After my wife and I's first game I put it all back in the box unbagged (usually I bag a game, but I was out of bags and awaiting more).

I turned to ask her what she thought of the game (she destroyed the ring the same turn I got to 10 vps...so close), and I bumped it. It tipped spilling the entire contents onto the kitchen floor. Some pieces fell into the grate in the floor. Much more ended up under the dishwasher.

It took forever to get all the dog hair off.
