I just got back from TempleCon, and we got many plays out of my 7 Wonders set.
During the course of play, I noticed that the back of one of my Age III cards (one of the 3-Shield military locations) has a "nick"; a large enough mark that you can clearly identify the card when you see it from behind. (I'm not sure when it happened, and I'm not blaming my fellow congoers; it might have been a defect when I first got the game a few weeks ago and I hadn't noticed) Otherwise the card is fine.
Has anyone tried contacting Repos before regarding replacing individual cards? Any luck with it?
Or (part 2) should I just invest in sleeves for the game? And if so: What are the best opaque-backed sleeves to get for 7 Wonders? Is it recommended to get 3 different colored backs of sleeves for the 3 different ages? (and a 4th color for Leaders?)
Thanks!
Edit: This question was resolved perfectly! Asmodee replaced my card for free. See below.

Ultra-Pro produces sleeves that fit 7 Wonders, but only clear ones I think.
Anyway, sleeving these cards is a very good investment.

I sleeved mine in Mayday premium copper sleeves (65mm x 100mm). They're clear not opaque though.

Hmm.. (self-followup)
These claim to be opaque, with 3 different colors. I think I'll go with them, and one pack of the clear ones in anticipation of Leaders.
Although I am still curious if Repos has a good part-replacement policy, because if I can replace that card for free I still think it would be a good idea.
Also new question: Do the cards still fit in the original box sleeved? This is one of the few games -- especially card-based ones -- where I appreciate the original packaging for storage.

I have my cards in the UltraPro sleeves mentioned farther up and they do fit in the box insert, although it is a snug (not overly tight) fit and there is some small amount of bending on the sleeve corners. I am happy and do not think it is detrimental in any way.

I have the opaque ones in 3 colors. They're not 100% opaque, but close enough. Pretty tight fits, too.

Hopefully opaque enough to draw attention away from the defect in that one card..
It sounds like nobody (so far) has any experience contacting Repos. Maybe I'll just go ahead and do it after I get home from work to double-check which card it is or if there are any others I haven't noticed yet.

Which printing of the game did you get? If it's the 2nd printing, some of the Age-III cards (military ones, IIRC) have a slightly different shade from the rest. They have been shipping a new deck of Age-III cards to people that have that printing. I've received mine, based on an E-mail request. (They never replied to my E-mail, or my follow-up request to confirm that they got my request, but the cards did show up...

Although I think I have the 2nd printing (lots of awards written on the box cover) Apparently I have the 3rd printing, but I will still try, that's not the exact problem I'm describing (although now you have me curious; I will look more closely at the coloration of the cards). However, if I'm entitled to a replacement Age III deck, it would directly solve my problem anyway.
And now I've found this thread for more info: http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/662869/usa-7-wonders-iii-age...
Thanks for the heads up!

Followup 1.5:
I did order the MaydayGames 7 Wonders-specific sleeves, and have sleeved most of the cards with them (except for the one I'm waiting to replace).
I didn't know what to expect; they're translucent-backed, not opaque, so it feels and acts like a clear sleeve, and it's "opaque enough" that slight differences in the cardbacks shouldn't be noticeable through the course of the game. It should work out great.
I actually got 4 packs of them; the 3 in the 'color pack', plus one set of clear ones, for Leaders, Randomizers, and other miscellaneous cards. (I probably could have sleeved the remainder cards with leftover colored-back sleeves, but a little bit of Gamer OCD kicked in )
Out of 49 brown, 49 blue, 50 purple, and about a dozen clear ones (I don't have Leaders yet), so far only one sleeve has been too small/unusable. So, that's good too.

SUPER EXTRA BONUS Followup:
Before Stefan had replied to the thread, I had emailed Repos directly about the problem. Just today, I received an email from them saying they were happy to send me an entire Age III replacement deck.
Since I've already fixed the original problem, I'll hold onto it just in case.. but definitely extra for Repos and Asmodee!

Could someone please post a photo of some cards in the "not quite opaque" sleeves?
I'm wondering if they'll be enough to cover up my massive discolorations.
