B&N Gift Card and coupons make me tempted to get Steam... yet the image on the Barnes and Noble site shows what "looks" to be the Steam cover.. published by Mayfair.. and listed as "Steam".. yet the box cover has the words "Age of Steam" ??

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/p/toys-games-steam/20860373?ea...

Can anyone provide some insight? Over version? What game would come in the mail, you think?

Curious! Maybe it's a new edition of AoS?

Edit: Did you notice that the badge in the bottom right says Age of Steam, and the serial number on the bottom left is different from the one for Steam? But Mayfair does not have Age of Steam listed on its website.

Edit2: In fact MFG 4115 is the Pillars of the Earth expansion set.

It looks like someone used an OLD, pre-release image of the game ... probably stolen from BGG!

That's an old image of Steam back when they were planning to call it Age of Steam 3rd Edition.

See this image:

Edit - Too slow!

Ha! That's hilarious. I can't believe they're using that image...

If you look back a couple of years, you'll see there was a hard-fought battle between Wallace and Bohrer about the name Age of Steam and who could use it. The result is that this game, once called Age of Steam 3rd Edition, and later Age of Steam: Rails to Riches, became Steam (or Steam: Rails to Riches). Age of Steam enjoyed a separate reprint, backed by Winsome/Bohrer.

This topic is still rather touchy for many users, so tread carefully...

I would be pretty confident you would get Steam and not AoS. It seems more likely they used a bad image but got the publisher and description right than the reverse of that.
