Im confused about "Boomstone". It is a permanent card and there are round tokens to go with it, but it says on the card that after you throw the boomstone at target, you discard Boomstone, so what is the point of having the round token?

There are other similar cards such as "Large Rock" that you can also throw at target, but then it says the rock falls to the ground after hitting target and can be picked up again later on. so it makes sense for their to be round tokens to go with Large Rock, but not for Boomstone.

am I missing a rule here or something?

I was confused about this too. We just let the tokens hit the ground and allowed the boomstones to be picked up again.

so does that mean you dont discard the card like it says in the card text? you just use it the same as Large Rock?

edit: No, it's definitely discarded after use.

Another way it could end up on the ground is if you voluntarily put it there, say, because you found another object, or your extra arms ran out, or because you wanted to entice other players to duke it out in a particular location, or because you're hoping someone picks it up so you can set them on fire.

There is also a card called Gravity that makes all players drop all of their items.

You may also want to drop it to make room for drawing spells, or picking up other items, or the like.

But when thrown, it explodes and is discarded.

ah! now it makes sense, you just have to think out side the box. Awesome!
